The 2000s & Beyond
2000 - NORBIC introduces the industrial training program (ITP) grant, compensating manufacturing members for up to 50% of employee training costs.

2003 - The Northwest Suburban Manufacturers Association (NSMA) merges with NORBIC, significantly increasing membership and NORBIC’s presence outside the City of Chicago.

2004 - Chris Multhauf joins NORBIC as President & CEO and begins to guide NORBIC on a continual journey of redefining and re-energizing itself. With the help of a new proactive business model, creative staff and entrepreneurial spirit, NORBIC works to re-assess the needs of its manufacturing clients and leverage the strength of its programs and partner resources to provide comprehensive business solutions to its manufacturing clients.
