Sharon Elders-Jackson (Grants/Human Resources Manager) Sharon Elders-Jackson oversees our Human Resource Department and Grants Programs. In this dual role, she is responsible for the administration and management of our human resource department and as grant manager, assists Northern Illinois companies in identifying and obtaining federal and state grant funding. Sharon has over 25 years of administrative experience and has served both major corporations and non-profit organizations. Most recently, Sharon served as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in the Psych Emergency/Out Patient Treatment Center of Psychiatry for seven years. Before joining Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Sharon spent nine years at the International Headquarters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority where she served as an Executive Assistant to three of its past presidents. Sharon also served in the U.S. Armed Forces as a Computer Specialist (SP4), discharged with an honorable discharge and spent ten years with the U.S. Army National Guard. Sharon is currently pursuing a B.A. in Architectural Design at the Harrington Institute of Architectural Design. A native of Chicago, Sharon has two adult sons and resides with her husband, Chef Daffrey Fitzgerald Jackson on Chicago's West Side.
