Small Business Development Assistance Entrepreneurs and existing businesses often need helping finding solutions to their business challenges. Additionally, they often need some help identifying opportunities to reduce costs, access financing and maintain a competitive edge. To help our clients succeed, NORBIC advises entrepreneurs and existing companies on management issues and assists with business plan development and equity and debt financing. NORBIC is an officially designated Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and its business assistance programs are offered in partnership with the SBA and the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity. Our Funders NORBIC's free and low cost business assistance programs are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, the U.S. Department of Defense, the City of Chicago, and matching funds from corporate and foundation partners.
